Many of our HR folks, particularly those handling employee relations and payroll, are quite familiar with making SOCSO contributions for employer/employees from an administrative perspective. But are they equally equipped with adequate knowledge of what to do and how to make a proper SOCSO claim if an employee is injured in the course of employment? Are the HR folks well aware of the salient decisions made by the SOCSO Appellate Board? Many of the SOCSO claims failed because of improper handling of the cases right from the beginning from both the administrative and technical view point.
Organized by MCBA in collaboration with the SOCSO office, more than 40 participants from member banks gathered together on 24th October 2011 to exchange their knowledge in the subject matter and seek answers to some of the practical challenges related to the same subject.
The facilitator for this learning activity was En. Izham Bin Ariffin, who is a very experienced and jovial speaker from the SOCSO office.
” A very beneficial program” was one of the feedback from a participant that summed up the typical responses from the learning group.
